MathPlus ToolBox


The MathPlus ToolBox is a computer program being developed through a collaborative effort at Linn-Benton Community College and the Science Access Project at Oregon State University. The project is funded by the National Science Foundation.

Unique Features

The MathPlus ToolBox is different than other computer programs.

  • The teacher or the student have control of the environment.
  • Graphics, sound and captioning are used to provide universal access for all students.
  • The program appeals to all ages. There is no age specific text or graphics.
  • Audio, graphics and screen display are used to support the development of mathematical concepts.
  • There is a powerful scripting tool which allows teachers to write lesson incorporating the tools for the students to learn how to work problems.
  • The access has been built into the design phase.
  • Customers or students and teachers have been involved in the design phase.
