The Options menu allows for direct navigation to the seven tab pages which include the keypad calculator, the
expression evaluator, two separate data tables as well as controls for
speech output, the format and sound characteristics of AudioPlots, and
visual display options. The Options menu also contains two separate toggle
items: one for the Self-Voicing feature, the other controlling the movement
of the focus on the keypad calculator.
The eight items of the Options menu are:
Transfers focus to the keypad calculator tab page.
Transfers focus to the expression box on the Evaluator tab page.
Transfers focus to the expression box on Data Set 1 Tab page.
Transfers focus to the evaluator box on the Data Set 2 Tab page.
This item has a submenu with four items: Source, Axes, Frame, and Range. Selecting a submenu item transfers the focus to that area on the Plot tab page.
This item has a submenu with six items: Sound Effects, Self Voicing, Voices, Pitch, Rate, and Volume. Selecting a submenu item transfers the focus to that area on the Speech tab page.
This item has a submenu with five items: Volume, Play time, Frequency range, Wave type, Reflection, and Wave Name. Selecting a submenu item transfers the focus to that area on the Wave tab page.
When this item is checked the focus automatically shifts to the equals key after every key press on the keypad calculator. When this item is not checked, the calculator focus remains on the last key last pressed. Thus, when AutoReturn is checked, pressing ENTER after another key evaluates the expression, but when unchecked, pressing ENTER just pushes the last button again.
When checked the program is self-voicing. The shortcut key to toggle this is CTRL F12.
