The File menu contains seven items: Import Data, Export Data, Paste Data From Clipboard, Load Constants and Expressions, Save Constants and Expressions, Print Graph, and Exit.
This menu Item imports data into the current selected data table as specified by the Plot source option setting. The selected table is not necessarily the displayed table. The format of the imported table must be column of X values, column of Y values, and an optional column of uncertainties in y. Columns may be separated by a space, comma, semicolon, or TAB. The end of line must include the CR (carriage return) ASCII character.
This menu item permits the user to export data from the current selected data table to a file. The output file is an ASCII file with each row containing X-Y pairs. If the data table contains uncertainties these are in a third column. The columns are comma delimited.
This menu item permits data to be selected and copied into the Windows clipboard from other applications, such as a spreadsheet, and pasted in the Accessible Graphing Calculator data table. The data is pasted into the currently selected data table according to the Plot Source option setting. If two columns of data are copied and pasted, the Accessible Graphing Calculator will evaluate the derivative information for the table. If three columns are pasted, the third column is listed as the uncertianty values of the data.
The expression evaluator allows for constants and expressions to be named and saved. Defined constants and expressions can then be entered into other expressions by their defined name. This menu item allows a disk file containing such definitions to be loaded into the expression evaluator.
Saves the current list of defined constants and expressions into a disk file for future use and reference.
This option will open a dialog box for printing the current graph. The dialog box contains three sections. The first section contains information about the current printer and page set-up. It displays boxes for choosing the currently installed printers, the graph's font type, width, height, portrait or landscape printing
The second section of the print dialog box contains information on how to draw the graph. There is a box for the graph's Title, a choice of the Data Style (print data points, a line through the points, or both), check boxes for showing Axis Labels, Axes, and tick marks or grid lines. Print and Cancel buttons are also contained in this section.
The third section of the print dialog box contains a display of the graph to print. This display is automatically updated when other print settings are changed.
The print dialog box can be closed and printing canceled with the ESCAPE key.
